Amazon MGM Studios has released the first official photo from Another Simple Favor, the sequel to the 2018 crime thriller A Simple Favor.
The movie brings back Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick as Emily Nelson and Stephanie Smothers, this time caught in another mystery—set against the stunning backdrop of Capri, Italy.
Murder at a Wedding
Directed by Paul Feig, the sequel follows Stephanie as she attends Emily’s extravagant wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman.
However, things take a dark turn when a murder disrupts the celebrations. The film promises suspense, betrayal, and unexpected twists as the two women navigate yet another dangerous situation.
The star-studded cast includes Henry Golding, Allison Janney, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, and Alex Newell. The screenplay is written by Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis, based on Darcey Bell’s characters.
Premiere & Release Date
Feig, known for films like Bridesmaids and Spy, expressed his excitement about the project, saying, “These characters were just too much fun not to revisit.”
The movie will have its world premiere at SXSW on March 7, 2025, before releasing globally on Prime Video on May 1, 2025.
