Netflix delighted anime fans on Saturday with several major announcements, exclusive previews, and teaser trailers during its Anime Expo 2025 presentation at the Peacock Theater.

The panel began with a highlight reel and the first trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the newly announced follow-up to the popular 2022 anime based on CD Projekt Red’s game Cyberpunk 2077.

Showrunner Bartosz Sztybor appeared at the event, expressing his gratitude for the show’s unexpected global success. “Thank you for the love that you gave to the show and all the creators,” he said.

Netflix also previewed the highly anticipated second season of Blue Eye Samurai. Co-creators Amber Noizumi and Michael Green, along with executive producer Jane Wu, shared insights via pre-recorded interviews. They confirmed the return of fan-favorite characters such as the Swordmaker, Ringo, Taigen, and Akemi, and hinted at surprising plot twists.

“There are also going to be maybe some people you thought died, who maybe are still alive,” teased Noizumi. Season two will take Mizu’s quest for revenge to London, where her mission continues.

For Beastars, fans got a glimpse of new artwork from part two of its final season. Netflix confirmed that the conclusion of the fan-favorite series will arrive in 2026.

Record of Ragnarok III fans were treated to a new trailer and surprise appearances from voice actors Cory Yee and J. Michael Tatum. Meanwhile, the creators of Sakamoto Days — director Masaki Watanabe and producer Genki Ito — spoke about the show’s unexpected success and teased upcoming content for part two, set to premiere on July 14. Ito revealed that fans can look forward to new characters, intense battles, and a showdown involving Yoichi Nagumo.

Netflix also offered previews for other upcoming titles, including the horror-romance The Summer Hikaru Died, the romance anime The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity, and the family-friendly My Melody & Kuromi.

This strong anime lineup reflects Netflix’s continued investment in global anime storytelling, showcasing both established hits and promising new titles.
