Cristiano Ronaldo signed a new contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. The deal makes him one of the highest-paid athletes in sports history.

The Portuguese star will earn £178 million per year. This equals £3.4 million per week. The contract also gives Ronaldo a 15% ownership stake in Al Nassr worth £33 million.

Contract Details:

Ronaldo gets a £24.5 million signing bonus. This increases to £38 million if he stays for a second year.

The deal includes performance bonuses:

  • £80,000 for each goal scored (increases 20% in year two)
  • £40,000 for each assist (increases 20% in year two)
  • £8 million if Al Nassr wins the Saudi Pro League
  • £4 million if he wins the league’s top scorer award
  • £6.5 million if Al Nassr wins the Asian Champions League
  • £4 million for private jet expenses

Al Nassr promised Ronaldo £60 million worth of sponsorship deals with Saudi and Asian companies.

Additional Benefits:

The club provides Ronaldo with 16 full-time staff members. This includes three drivers, four housekeepers, two chefs, three gardeners, and four security guards.

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022. The new contract extends his stay in Saudi Arabia. The 39-year-old continues to play at the highest level after leaving European football.

The deal shows Saudi Arabia’s push to attract top global athletes. Al Nassr hopes Ronaldo’s presence will boost the league’s profile worldwide.
