Step 1: Create a New Playlist

  1. Open YouTube Music on your phone or computer.
  2. Go to the Library tab.
  3. Tap the + New icon to create a new playlist.
  4. Select Playlist.
  5. Add a name and description.
  6. Choose a privacy option. Public playlists are accessible to anyone, while unlisted playlists require a direct link.
  7. Tap Create.

Step 2: Make the Playlist Collaborative

  1. Open the playlist you just created.
  2. Tap the pencil icon.
  3. Select Collaborate.
  4. Toggle on “Collaborators can add songs and videos”.
  5. Share the link with your collaborators.

Step 3: Invite Collaborators

  1. Share the link with your collaborators via email or messaging.
  2. Ask them to click the link.
  3. They will be prompted to accept the invitation.
  4. Once accepted, they can add songs to the playlist.

Step 4: Manage the Playlist

  1. Open the playlist.
  2. Tap the pencil icon.
  3. Select Collaborate.
  4. Toggle on “Collaborators can add songs and videos”.
  5. Toggle on “Allow new collaborators” (optional).
  6. Share the link to invite new collaborators.

Step 5: Add Songs

  2. Tap the pencil icon.
  3. Select Collaborate.
  4. Search for a song.
  5. Tap the + icon to add the song to the playlist.

Step 6: Manage Collaborators

  1. Open the playlist.
  2. Tap the pencil icon.
  3. Select Collaborate.
  4. Toggle on “Collaborators can add songs and videos”.
  5. Toggle on “Allow new collaborators” (optional).
  6. Share the link to invite new collaborators.
  7. Deactivate the link if you want to stop others from adding content.

Step 7: Edit Playlist Settings

  1. Open the playlist.
  2. Tap the pencil icon.
  3. Select Edit Playlist.
  4. Toggle on “Collaborators can add songs and videos”.
  5. Toggle on “Allow new collaborators” (optional).
  6. Save changes.
