ChatGPT is no longer just a chatbot. OpenAI has added direct app integrations, letting you control real services like Spotify, Uber, and DoorDash — all from one chat.
You can now link your accounts and ask ChatGPT to do tasks for you. Want a workout playlist on Spotify? Just ask. Need groceries delivered? It can add everything to your cart.
Setting it up is simple. Log in, go to Settings > Apps, and connect your accounts. Once linked, just start a message with the app’s name — like “Spotify, make a chill playlist” — and ChatGPT handles the rest.
But be careful. Connecting apps means sharing your data. Spotify will let ChatGPT see your listening history. DoorDash will know what you order. Turn them off anytime in Settings if you change your mind.
Some of the most useful tools include Booking.com and Expedia for travel, Target and Wix for shopping and websites, and Coursera for learning. Students can even turn notes into flashcards using Quizlet.
Right now, these features only work for users in the U.S. and Canada. Europe and the U.K. are still waiting. More apps like PayPal, OpenTable, and Walmart are coming later in 2026.
ChatGPT is turning into a personal assistant that acts — not just talks. Whether you’re planning a trip, ordering food, or building a website, it can help you get things done faster.
