Pop star Chappell Roan has ended her representation with Wasserman, led by CEO Casey Wasserman, following scrutiny over his name in newly released Jeffrey Epstein documents.
In an Instagram statement, Roan said she will not “passively stand by” actions that conflict with her moral values, while expressing respect for the agency’s staff.
The documents include emails from 2001–2003 between Wasserman and Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, described in media reports as “personal” or “romantic.” Wasserman has said he had no relationship with Epstein and expressed regret over the communications.
Roan, 27, rose to fame in 2024–2025 with Grammy-nominated hits blending pop, indie, and queer anthems. She is the highest-profile artist to publicly leave Wasserman amid the Epstein file fallout. Other acts represented by the agency, such as Wednesday and Best Coast, have reportedly raised similar concerns.
While no evidence directly links Wasserman to Epstein’s crimes, the association with Maxwell has prompted ethical reviews in the entertainment industry.
