OpenAI has launched a large library of more than 300 professional prompts aimed at improving how artificial intelligence is used in the workplace. The release marks a move toward more structured and reliable AI use across industries.
The new collection, called “Prompt Packs,” is available on the OpenAI Academy platform. It includes role-specific prompts for jobs such as Engineering, Sales, Human Resources, IT, Marketing, and Product Management.
Until now, many professionals relied on trial and error to get useful results from AI tools. Most prompts came from social media posts or personal testing, which often led to inconsistent outcomes.
OpenAI’s new templates are designed to change that. Each job category includes around 20 to 30 prompts built for real workplace tasks, helping users get more predictable and professional results.
The prompts for Engineering and Product Management stand out for their depth. They include clear constraints, defined roles, and step-by-step instructions to support tasks like writing technical documents, debugging code, and creating product requirement documents.
Other prompts focus on automating routine work. These include IT support tickets, security checks, HR hiring processes, and employee performance reviews.
The release is important for companies that want to adopt AI but lack in-house expertise. By offering ready-made prompts, OpenAI reduces the learning curve for teams and improves output consistency.
The move also shows OpenAI’s growing focus on education and enterprise use. By offering the prompt packs for free, the company is positioning AI as a serious productivity tool rather than a casual chat feature.
