Demon Slayer Fans Await 2026 Update on Infinity Castle Films

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle

Demon Slayer : Kimetsu no Yaiba is set to share a new update about its Infinity Castle film trilogy later in 2026.

The first Infinity Castle movie was a major success in theaters worldwide. It is the first film in a planned trilogy adapting the final arc of Koyoharu Gotoge’s manga. As of now, the movie is still exclusive to theaters in many international regions, with no confirmed streaming or home release.

Fans have been waiting for news about the next films or a digital release, and a possible update may be coming soon.

Update Expected at AnimeJapan 2026

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has been confirmed as part of AnimeJapan 2026, one of the biggest anime events of the year. The event will take place in Japan on March 28 and 29, 2026.

The franchise will appear alongside other major Aniplex titles. While no details have been confirmed, this event could include news about:

  • The future Infinity Castle films
  • Production updates
  • Release timing

However, fans should remain cautious. Previous events, such as Jump Festa 2026, passed without any major announcements for Demon Slayer.

No Streaming or Blu-ray News Yet

The success of the first Infinity Castle film has allowed Sony Pictures, Aniplex, and Crunchyroll to keep it in theaters for an extended period. This theatrical exclusivity is expected to continue through much of 2026.

Because of this, there has been no official word on:

  • Streaming availability
  • Blu-ray or DVD release dates
  • International digital releases

When Could Infinity Castle Part 2 Release?

There is currently no official release window for the second or third films in the trilogy. The studios appear to be in no rush, given the strong box office performance of the first movie.

Early rumors suggest that Infinity Castle Part 2 could arrive in 2027, as it is believed to still be in production. This longer timeline reflects the high expectations surrounding the franchise and the scale of the animation work involved.

As one of the most successful modern anime franchises, Demon Slayer faces enormous pressure to deliver follow-up films that match or exceed the first movie’s impact.
