Samsung Confirms Galaxy S26 Lineup—and It’s More Familiar Than Fans Hoped

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S26 series will stick to its usual three-model lineup. The company will release the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, putting an end to rumors about major naming or lineup changes.

The confirmation comes from an official Samsung Colombia document related to device financing. The listing includes the three unreleased Galaxy S26 models, marking Samsung’s first direct acknowledgment of the lineup.

This means Samsung will not replace the base and Plus models with Pro or Edge versions, as some early rumors suggested. Later leaks had already hinted that Samsung dropped those plans, and this document now confirms it.

Reports say Samsung changed course after seeing weak demand for the Galaxy S25 Edge and similar slim phone concepts from competitors. As a result, Samsung returned to its traditional lineup, even though this decision delayed the launch.

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to be unveiled on February 25, 2026, and released globally on March 11, 2026. This would be slightly later than last year’s Galaxy S25 launch.

Samsung’s production plans also show where its priorities lie. The company reportedly plans to make 3.6 million Galaxy S26 Ultra units, compared to 700,000 Galaxy S26 units and just 600,000 Galaxy S26+ units this month.

In terms of upgrades, changes appear limited. The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s main improvement is faster 60W charging, while the Plus model is expected to see almost no major upgrades. The base Galaxy S26 may get a larger 6.3-inch display, a 4,300mAh battery, and 45W charging.

While some fans may find the familiar lineup disappointing, Samsung seems confident in its formula. Even if it feels predictable, the Galaxy S26 Ultra remains the company’s main focus—and the standard Galaxy S26 could still surprise buyers.
