Marvel Studios has completed its four-week “Character Teaser” rollout for Avengers: Doomsday, confirming a massive lineup for Phase Six. As of January 13, 2026, the studio has officially shown how legacy heroes and new characters fit into the upcoming film.
The teaser campaign revealed the return of Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, marking his first official MCU appearance since Avengers: Endgame. The footage shows Rogers in a damaged, post-incursion world, signaling the high stakes of the story.
Thor (Chris Hemsworth) was confirmed next, appearing alongside his adopted daughter Love. The teaser suggests the pair are responding to a multiversal crisis, with Love’s powers hinted as a key force in the coming battle.
Marvel also confirmed the return of classic X-Men characters. Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Magneto (Ian McKellen), and Cyclops (James Marsden) appear together, indicating a rare alliance to protect their reality from collapse.

The most recent teaser shifts focus to Wakanda. Shuri (Letitia Wright) is shown leading the nation’s defense, while M’Baku (Winston Duke) is confirmed as the reigning King of Wakanda.
The footage also introduces a tense alliance with Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and reveals The Thing, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach, arriving in Wakanda. This moment confirms the Fantastic Four’s connection to Earth-616.
All teasers point to Doctor Victor von Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., as the central threat. While Doom is not fully shown, his presence drives the uneasy alliances across worlds.
Directed by the Russo Brothers, Avengers: Doomsday is set for release on December 18, 2026. A full-length trailer is widely expected to debut during the Super Bowl on February 8, 2026, as Marvel prepares for its biggest crossover yet.
