Cadillac has officially entered Formula 1, revealing its first-ever “Stealth” shakedown livery ahead of private testing in Spain. The unveiling marks the team’s first physical appearance as a new force on the F1 grid.
The monochromatic design features raw black carbon fiber with sharp white racing stripes. It is a temporary look created for early testing, not the team’s final race colors.
Cadillac will run the car at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from January 26 to 30. These sessions will allow engineers to check systems, collect data, and prepare for the 2026 season.
The livery also carries symbolic meaning. The car includes small etched details that honor the team’s founders and staff working across the United States and the United Kingdom, highlighting the project’s transatlantic roots.
This test comes after Cadillac received full FIA approval to join Formula 1 as the 11th team. The Barcelona run will help the team establish aerodynamic and mechanical baselines.
For its debut season in 2026, Cadillac will use Ferrari power units. The partnership is intended to ensure reliability and competitiveness while Cadillac continues developing its own future engine.
The team confirmed that the Stealth livery will be short-lived. Cadillac plans to reveal its full 2026 race design during a Super Bowl LXI halftime advertisement on February 8.
Backed by General Motors, Cadillac F1 is now fully operational. With its first test scheduled and cars ready, the team’s Formula 1 journey has officially begun.
