Marvel Studios’ fourth teaser for Avengers: Doomsday has confirmed the return of two major villains from Phase 4, marking their first live‑action appearances since 2022.
The new teaser is part of Marvel’s weekly rollout for the film. Alongside brief action shots featuring established heroes, the footage reveals that Namor and Namora from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will appear in the upcoming Avengers movie.
Tenoch Huerta’s Namor is shown briefly, holding his Talokanil spear while wearing a cloak. The scene suggests that he may be leading his people into battle, possibly alongside the Wakandans.
Namor’s inclusion is notable because he is a Mutant, and Avengers: Doomsday is expected to set the stage for Marvel’s upcoming Mutant‑focused saga. The film is also confirmed to feature the X‑Men, increasing the chances of major crossover interactions.
The trailer also includes Mabel Cadena’s Namora, Namor’s second‑in‑command. Though her appearance is short, it hints that she will once again take part in a large‑scale conflict involving the Talokanil.
While Namor and Namora were introduced as antagonists in Wakanda Forever, the teaser suggests they may shift roles. Their presence hints that the Talokanil could ally with the Avengers to face a larger threat.
That larger threat is expected to be Doctor Doom, the central villain of the film. The scale of the cast suggests that former enemies may need to work together to stop him.
Avengers: Doomsday is currently set for release on December 18, 2026. With each teaser revealing new characters, Marvel appears to be building one of its largest ensemble movies ever.
The return of Namor and Namora confirms that Phase 4 stories still matter, as Marvel continues to weave past villains into its next major saga.
