Xiaomi is reportedly preparing a new flagship phone equipped with built-in cooling fan technology, joining other brands racing to tackle overheating in high-end devices. The technology is designed to prevent performance drops during heavy tasks or intense gaming.
According to DigitalChatStation, the cooling fan could be integrated near the camera module and is currently being tested. The device may debut as the Redmi K90 Ultra FAN Edition, marking Xiaomi’s first active cooling smartphone.
The fan will actively dissipate heat, protecting the battery and internal components, and ensuring smoother gameplay, faster responsiveness, and higher frame rates. Users can expect improved long-term performance and a more fluid experience.
Other brands such as Honor’s WIN Series and iQOO 15 Ultra have already explored similar cooling solutions. Xiaomi’s new phone aims to compete directly in this growing segment of high-performance smartphones.
The device is also expected to feature an ultra-high refresh rate display and maintain a minimalistic design. Additionally, it will reportedly carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
With this innovation, Xiaomi seeks to strengthen its position among gamers and power users who demand both speed and reliability from flagship smartphones.
