CBS kicks off the new year with a lighter primetime schedule, focusing on game shows, special events, and unscripted programming. Most of the network’s scripted series, including FBI, NCIS, and comedies, remain on hiatus until late February.
Here’s what viewers can expect this month:
Wednesdays (Starting January 7)
CBS’s midweek lineup features returning game shows and a brand-new true-crime series:
- 8:00–9:00 PM – Hollywood Squares (returning episodes)
- 9:00–10:00 PM – The Price Is Right at Night (special primetime episodes)
- 10:00–11:00 PM – Harlan Coben’s Final Twist (new true-crime docuseries, premieres January 7)
This block fills the gap between seasons of Survivor and offers a mix of fun, competition, and suspense for viewers.
Special Events
- Sunday, January 11, 8:00 PM – 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards (live broadcast, hosted by Nikki Glaser)
CBS will also air repeats, encores, and potential sports preemptions on other nights. AFC playoff games may adjust the weekend schedule.
Looking Ahead
Most scripted series, including CIA, Y: Marshals, and Survivor Season 50, return in late February and early March 2026.
