Samsung is preparing to launch its next-generation Galaxy S26 series, with leaks revealing major upgrades across its flagship lineup. The company is focusing on improved display quality, camera performance, and processing power, along with new features for privacy and convenience.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to maintain the familiar boxy design of its predecessor but will be slightly thinner and lighter. The phone will feature Samsung’s new M14 OLED display, promising brighter colors, lower power consumption, and third-generation anti-reflective glass. A new anti-peeping feature will limit side-angle visibility for enhanced privacy.
Under the hood, the Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip globally, paired with LPDDR5X RAM running at 10.7 Gbps, improving both processing and camera performance. The camera system sees notable upgrades:
- Primary camera: 200 MP with f/1.4 aperture for better low-light performance
- Ultra-wide: 50 MP
- Telephoto: 12 MP 3x lens with laser autofocus, 5x sensor may remain 50 MP with a wider aperture
Battery capacity is rumored between 5,000–5,400 mAh, supporting 60 W fast charging and magnetic wireless charging, compatible with Maxive accessories.
Samsung Galaxy S26

The standard Galaxy S26 will feature a slightly larger display and thinner body at 6.9 mm. Battery capacity is expected to increase to 4,300 mAh, with support for magnetic wireless charging. The phone will also include the new M14 OLED display, providing better brightness and color reproduction.
Camera upgrades include:
- Primary sensor: 50 MP
- Ultra-wide: 50 MP
- Telephoto: 10 MP 3x lens
In selected markets, including India, the S26 will use the Exynos 2600 chipset, a new generation that has shown promising benchmark scores and may restore Samsung’s reputation for in-house processors.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge

The Galaxy S26 Edge remains uncertain, with multiple reports suggesting cancellation due to weak sales of the S25 Edge. If launched, it will be ultra-thin at 5.5 mm, slightly lighter, and equipped with a 4,300 mAh battery, up from the previous 3,900 mAh. The design appears similar to previous Edge models but with minor refinements.
Outlook
Early reactions are focused on the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the potential comeback of the Exynos chipset, both seen as key indicators of Samsung’s strategy for 2026. Fans and tech enthusiasts are awaiting the official launch for confirmation of these features.
