Cloudflare Outage Knocks ChatGPT, X, Spotify and Other Major Platforms Offline

Cloudflare suffered a major global outage on Tuesday, 18 November 2025. Many popular websites and online services went offline. Users reported 500 errors and trouble accessing platforms that rely on Cloudflare.

The company said it saw an “unusual traffic spike” before the outage began. Cloudflare later confirmed it had found the cause and applied a fix. Early reports suggested software issues following internal service problems. Another report pointed to scheduled maintenance and routing issues across data centres.

Several Cloudflare tools also failed during the outage. The Dashboard and API were affected. Customers could not easily check system status or manage their settings.

This site was down as well because of the global Cloudflare outrage. We couldn’t even get into the Cloudflare backend or our hosting provider’s backend as all of the services were affected.

Cloudflare said most services started to recover after the fix. The company continued to monitor traffic and network performance. Some users still saw brief periods of higher error rates as systems stabilized.
