Nicole Kidman Attends Charity Gala Days After Filing for Divorce from Keith Urban

Australian actress Nicole Kidman made her first public appearance on Saturday, October 4, just days after filing for divorce from country singer Keith Urban. Kidman attended amfAR’s annual charity auction in Dallas, held to support AIDS research and HIV prevention worldwide.

The 57-year-old Oscar winner presented the Award of Inspiration to Yellowstone creator and her Lioness collaborator, Taylor Sheridan. The event took place at the home of United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby and was hosted by actress Teri Hatcher. Other notable guests included Diana Ross and former NBA star Dirk Nowitzki.

Kidman filed for divorce on September 30, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple, both aged 57, had reportedly separated earlier in the summer after 19 years of marriage. They share two daughters — Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. In her filing, Kidman requested to be the primary residential parent.

According to People magazine, sources close to Kidman said she had been “stressed” about the news becoming public but is now focused on her daughters and moving forward.

Keith Urban has since performed publicly for the first time since the split, appearing without his wedding ring at a recent concert.

Kidman and Urban married in 2006 and were long regarded as one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples. Their separation marks the end of nearly two decades together, during which both maintained highly successful entertainment careers.
