Apple to Unveil iPhone 17 and Slimmest iPhone Air in September Event

Apple is expected to hold its annual hardware event on 9 September, where the company will likely reveal the iPhone 17 lineup along with new Apple Watch and AirPods models.

The iPhone 17 is rumored to have a larger 6.3-inch screen, a faster 120Hz display, and a 24-megapixel front camera. It may also come in new colors, including purple and green. Reports suggest the starting price will be around $800.

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max could bring bigger changes. The Pro may get a new camera layout in a rectangular bar and a lighter aluminum frame instead of titanium. The Pro Max is expected to be slightly thicker to support a larger battery. Prices may start at $1,050 for the Pro and $1,250 for the Pro Max.

The biggest rumor is the iPhone Air, which could replace the Plus model. At just 5.5 mm thick, it would be Apple’s slimmest iPhone yet, featuring a 6.6-inch display and a single rear camera. It may launch in black, silver, and light gold, with a price tag of about $950.

Apple is also expected to update its wearables. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 may gain 5G, satellite connectivity, and possibly blood pressure monitoring, while the Series 11 could add new health features. The SE 3 may only see a larger display and a lower-cost plastic option. Prices are rumored to range from $250 to $800.

Finally, Apple may introduce the AirPods Pro 3, with a slimmer design, touch controls, and an upgraded H3 chip for improved noise cancellation.

The event continues Apple’s fall tradition of unveiling new hardware as competition in smartphones and wearables intensifies.
