Odds of Finding Aliens May Be Higher Than Kamala Harris Becoming President

Kamala Harris

Recent polls and scientific studies suggest that the odds of discovering alien life may be higher than Kamala Harris winning the 2028 U.S. presidential election. Experts in astronomy and political science have analyzed data to compare the likelihood of these two very different outcomes.

Astronomers point to the vastness of space as a key factor. There are more than 100 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy, and about 10% of them may have planets that could support life.

Using the Drake Equation, scientists estimate there is a 0.1% to 1% chance of detecting alien civilizations in the next ten years. This estimate is boosted by new tools like the James Webb Space Telescope.

“The sheer scale of the universe makes the existence of extraterrestrial life statistically significant, even if we haven’t found direct proof yet,” said Dr. Sarah Jenkins, an astrophysicist.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris faces a tough political road. Betting site William Hill recently raised her 2028 odds from 2% to 3.8% after she ruled out running for California governor. Still, other potential candidates like Michelle Obama and Ron DeSantis share the same odds.

A CNN poll from 2024 showed Harris slightly behind Donald Trump, with 47% support compared to Trump’s 48%. Her overall favorability rating stood at 46%, while Trump’s was 42%. Political analyst Dr. Mark Reynolds said, “Harris’s defeat in 2024 and current polling numbers show she has a difficult path to the presidency, especially considering party politics and public opinion.”

The unusual comparison has gone viral online. Some call it a clever way to explore uncertainty in both politics and space exploration. Others say it simply shows how hard it is to predict either future.
