Shia LaBeouf and FKA Twigs Settle Sexual Battery Lawsuit Out of Court

Shia LaBeouf and his ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs have reached a private settlement, ending the sexual battery lawsuit filed by Twigs in 2020. Both parties announced the agreement on Tuesday, confirming they have decided to resolve the case without going to trial.

Shia’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, and FKA Twigs’ attorney, Bryan Freedman, said in a joint statement, “Committed to forging a constructive path forward, we have agreed to settle our case out of court. While the details of the settlement will remain private, we wish each other personal happiness, professional success and peace in the future.”

Legal documents obtained by TMZ also show that FKA Twigs has asked the court to dismiss all claims against Shia LaBeouf without prejudice, meaning she cannot reopen the case later.

FKA Twigs originally filed the lawsuit in December 2020, accusing LaBeouf of physical abuse, emotional torment, and knowingly transmitting a sexually transmitted infection. She publicly spoke about the alleged abuse in interviews with Gayle King and Elle magazine, describing her survival as a “miracle.”

Shia LaBeouf previously responded to the allegations by acknowledging some truth in his past behavior during his recovery journey, though denying many claims. He stated he accepted accountability and allowed the women to share their experiences.

With this settlement, both parties have decided to move forward and leave the legal battle behind them.
