BLACKPINK Launches New Special Edition Light Stick Ahead of Tour

Global K-pop group BLACKPINK has announced a Special Edition version of its official concert light stick, exciting fans just ahead of the group’s next series of live performances.

The new light stick will be released on July 22, 2025, with pre-orders already open online. Some retailers have reported that the product is already sold out, reflecting strong demand despite only minor changes from previous versions.

What’s New?

The Special Edition light stick features mostly cosmetic updates. The biggest change is a new emblem design, with the heart-shaped cushions now showing a “BP Heart” logo instead of the earlier “BLACKPINK” text.

Technically, the new light stick works the same way as earlier versions. It is powered by three AAA batteries and has a micro USB port for an alternate power option. However, the USB port is not used for recharging, a detail that has disappointed some fans.

Fans Respond

BLACKPINK announced the release through its official social media channels, quickly gaining over a million likes and thousands of comments from fans around the world.

While some fans are excited to collect the new design and bring it to concerts, others have criticized the lack of functional improvements, especially the continued reliance on disposable batteries.

How to Buy

The Special Edition light stick was made available through platforms like Weverse and other K-pop merchandise websites. Many fans report that pre-orders sold out within hours of the announcement.

BLACKPINK is expected to sell the new light stick at upcoming concert venues, though availability may vary by location.

No New Music—For Now

This release comes at a time when BLACKPINK is focusing on merchandise and fan events, with no new music projects announced recently. The standard version 2 light stick remains fully compatible with BLACKPINK’s concert systems for fans who already own previous models.
