Tyler, the Creator has officially announced his ninth studio album, titled Don’t Tap the Glass, set for release on Monday, July 21.

The surprise announcement follows a week of cryptic teasers and a new merchandise drop via Tyler’s Golf Wang brand, where fans spotted vinyl records, t-shirts, and caps featuring the album’s title.

Tyler confirmed the album at his Brooklyn show on Friday night, where he shouted out the project on stage while standing in front of an installation that resembled the album cover. The reveal continues Tyler’s tradition of unexpected album rollouts, similar to last year’s Chromakopia, which also dropped with little warning.

Chromakopia featured collaborations with Doechii, Lil Wayne, GloRilla, and Childish Gambino, and led to a global tour that is still underway.

Tyler is currently performing a four-night run at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center before heading to Asia and Australia. His tour is expected to wrap up in Manila this September.

No tracklist has been shared yet for Don’t Tap the Glass, but anticipation is already building among fans eager to hear what the rapper and producer has planned next.
