Squid Game Season 3 Gi-hun

Will Gi-hun Survive? Squid Game Season 3 Brings Deadly New Twists

The deadly competition returns one last time. Netflix’s hit series Squid Game is back for its third and final season, premiering Friday, June 27 at 3 a.m. ET / midnight PT. All six episodes will drop at once.

Season 3 continues the story of Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) as he struggles to end the brutal games after the tragic death of his closest friend, Jung-bae, during the Season 2 rebellion. Still grieving, Gi-hun is determined to stop the game — but Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) has other plans.

“Gi-hun persists with his goal to put an end to the game, while the Front Man continues onto his next move,” Netflix says.

Season 2 revealed that the Front Man was actually Player 001, who faked his identity and betrayed Gi-hun’s group from within. A brutal twist ended in the deaths of key characters, with betrayals and violence tearing the group apart.

Now, as Season 3 begins, Gi-hun is at his lowest. He still doesn’t know the Front Man and Young-il are the same person, and he blames himself for everything. Meanwhile, surviving players face deadlier games with even higher stakes.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk promises a powerful ending:

“The new season will focus on what Gi-hun can and will do after all his efforts fail.”
