Cassie Ventura, a former partner of Sean “Diddy” Combs, has been a key figure in his ongoing federal trial. On Friday, prosecutors presented alleged old text messages between Cassie and Diddy as evidence in Manhattan court.
One text from Cassie read, “You treat me like a hooker to be honest. You always want to call one and you have one. This hooker has been here for 10 years.” The court heard Diddy’s brief reply, “Wow.” The defense argued that prosecutors left out other texts that could explain the context better.
Another alleged message from Cassie mentioned Diddy’s so-called “freak-off” parties, saying, “I love our FOs when we both want it.” In a separate text, she wrote, “That’s not love. That’s possession. I have bleeding cut.”
Texts also showed harsh words from Diddy, including, “I’m not gonna let someone st on me when all I’ve been is nice,” and, “You don’t treat me like a king… You was acting like a b*h… You’re wack for not keeping it real.”
Elsewhere in the trial, Diddy’s former assistant Brendan Paul testified about the involvement of an anonymous woman named “Jane” in alleged sex parties. Paul also admitted to procuring drugs for Diddy.
The trial is expected to finish by early July, with lawyers indicating they might rest their cases next week.
