Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is officially in the running for an Emmy Award. His hit reality show Beast Games has been submitted for consideration in the Outstanding Reality Competition Program and Host categories at the upcoming 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Nomination voting is currently underway and ends on June 23, with final nominations set to be revealed on July 15.
MrBeast, who boasts over 402 million YouTube subscribers, told Variety that Beast Games reflects the incredible effort his team has put into creating high-quality, family-friendly entertainment.
While competing against big names like RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Traitors, The Amazing Race, and Top Chef, he hopes voters recognize the scale and storytelling of his show.
He also revealed that Beast Games Season 2 is already in production and will feature more skill-based challenges and larger, more impressive sets. “The games are so good. People’s minds are gonna be blown with this season,” he said.
Though no release date has been confirmed, fans can expect Season 2 soon.
