Clipse are back, and they have something to say. The rap duo from Virginia Beach, made up of brothers Pusha T and No Malice, released their new single “So Be It” on June 17. It’s the second song from their upcoming reunion album Let God Sort Em Out, set to drop on July 11.
Produced by Pharrell Williams, the track has sharp beats, backward drums, and Middle Eastern-style sounds. Both brothers deliver aggressive verses, but one stands out for its clear diss aimed at Travis Scott.
In the verse, Pusha T takes shots at Travis by mentioning his ex, Kylie Jenner, and her success with her makeup brand:
“Calabasas took your bitch and your pride in front of me
Heard Utopia had moved right up the street
And her lip gloss was poppin’, she ain’t need you to eat”
This beef started back in 2023. Pusha says Travis played his album UTOPIA for them at Pharrell’s studio in Paris but didn’t mention that Drake dissed Pharrell on one of the tracks. Pusha saw that as a betrayal.
“He don’t have no picks, no loyalty to nobody,” Pusha told GQ. “We’re not in your mix. Keep your mix over there.”
Even though Travis worked with Pharrell on UTOPIA, Pusha made it clear he doesn’t respect him. “He’s a whore,” Pusha said.
The “So Be It” video, shot in black-and-white, shows Clipse wearing luxury jewelry and hanging out at giant mansions. The song and video both carry a confident, no-nonsense attitude.
Let God Sort Em Out will be Clipse’s first full album in more than ten years.
