My Hero Academia Final Season Trailer Reveals Deku vs. Shigaraki Showdown

My Hero Academia is getting ready for its biggest battle yet. The anime has released a brand-new trailer for its Final Season, giving fans a first real look at the intense showdown between Izuku Midoriya (Deku) and Tomura Shigaraki.

The Final Season (Season 8) is set to premiere in October 2025 as part of the Fall 2025 anime lineup. Although the exact release date is still unknown, fans now know the anime is picking up right where Season 7 left off—with Deku’s fight to save the world reaching its peak.

The new trailer shows a glimpse of this final battle, continuing the war between heroes and villains that has built up over the past seasons. It also teases the fate of All Might and All For One, whose fight was left hanging at the end of Season 7.

The anime will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll outside Japan, and the voice cast from previous seasons is expected to return.

There’s more news coming soon. A special panel for My Hero Academia will take place at Anime Expo 2025 on July 5. Voice actors Justin Briner (Deku) and Daiki Yamashita (Deku’s Japanese voice) will be there, along with Shonen Jump editor Ryosuke Yoritomi. Creator Kohei Horikoshi will also share a special message with fans at the event.

My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON is directed by Naomi Nakayama at Studio Bones, with Yosuke Kuroda writing scripts and Yuki Hayashi returning for the music. The creators haven’t said how many episodes the season will have, but fans are hoping for a strong, satisfying ending to one of anime’s biggest stories.
