James Gunn Announces Fresh Start for Wonder Woman Movie Without Gal Gadot

James Gunn, the co-head of DC Studios, has confirmed that a new Wonder Woman movie is currently being written. This movie will give a fresh start to the character of Diana Prince. It will be separate from the previous Wonder Woman films starring Gal Gadot.

Gal Gadot played Wonder Woman in several movies, including Wonder Woman (2017), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), and Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021). However, she will not return to the role in the new DC Universe reboot.

In addition to the movie, there is also an HBO series about Wonder Woman’s home island, Themyscira. James Gunn said that the show is moving slowly but is still in progress.

This new Wonder Woman movie is one of several projects planned by DC Studios. Other upcoming films include Superman starring David Corenswet, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a horror film called Clayface, and an animated movie about Batman’s sidekicks called Dynamic Duo.

James Gunn also hinted at another Superman movie but did not confirm if it would be a direct sequel.

These projects mark the start of a new phase for the DC Universe, with many movies and shows to come.
