Cyberpunk 2077 is now one of the biggest launch titles for the Nintendo Switch 2. While the original Switch launched with Breath of the Wild, the new console is taking a different approach — offering a gritty, futuristic RPG instead.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition includes the full base game and the Phantom Liberty DLC. It’s the only major non-Nintendo RPG on the Switch 2 launch list.
Players can still enjoy Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, but Cyberpunk gives something fresh and mature for those who want a change from Hyrule.
Despite concerns over performance, the game runs well. It uses Nvidia’s DLSS upscaling to keep visuals sharp. There are two modes: a performance mode that targets 40 FPS at 1080p (docked) or 720p (handheld), and a quality mode that aims for 30 FPS at 1080p.
The new Joy-Con 2 controllers also bring motion control to the game. Players can swing a katana using real motion, adding a new layer to combat. CD Projekt Red says the Switch 2 is “the best way to experience the game on the go.”
With smooth performance and all content included, Cyberpunk 2077 is already proving to be a strong reason to pick up a Switch 2.
