A new twist has come in the ongoing public dispute between rapper Kanye West and reality star Kim Kardashian. Kanye now denies sending a legal threat accusing Kim of exploiting their four children.
Last Friday, TMZ reported that Kanye filed a cease and desist letter. The letter claimed Kim neglected their eldest daughter North at the Met Gala and used their children unfairly on social media. It also said Kim denied Kanye access to their kids.
But Kanye’s spokesperson told Page Six the letter is “obviously fraudulent” and called the whole story a “hoax.” The spokesperson said TMZ did not contact them before publishing the story and later asked if it was a publicity stunt. They said no, it was simply false.
The letter was said to be from a lawyer named Kathy Johnson from a firm called JB Law Firm in Spain. However, MailOnline found that this law firm does not exist and the phone number given was disconnected and once belonged to a travel agency.
Kanye and Kim have had a tense co-parenting relationship for years, especially about their children’s media presence. They share four children: North (11), Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (5).
Earlier this week, Kanye stirred more controversy by releasing a music video with disturbing content referencing his children, Kim, and praising Adolf Hitler. The video was widely criticized.
Despite all the drama, Kim has remained mostly quiet. She confirmed North was with her at the Met Gala but did not say if the child was left alone.
Sources close to Kim say Kanye has made little effort to see his children in 2025, and Kim has never denied him access when asked.
