Usher did not testify at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing trial, although his name came up during a witness statement.

The trial, currently taking place in Lower Manhattan, involves serious charges against Diddy, including racketeering, sex trafficking, and prostitution-related offenses.

Singer Dawn Richard testified on May 19 that Diddy allegedly punched Cassie, his former partner, in the stomach during a private conversation at a restaurant in West Hollywood in 2010.

Usher, along with Ne-Yo, Jimmy Iovine, and Big Daddy Kane, was present at the time.

Richard further claimed that after the group left the restaurant, Diddy hit Cassie again in the car.

This incident is one of many being discussed in the trial, which includes testimony from multiple individuals close to the music mogul.

Usher, who lived with Diddy when he was a teenager and described him as a mentor, has not taken the stand. It is still unclear whether he will testify in the future.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges. The trial is expected to conclude in July.
