The live-action Voltron movie, starring Henry Cavill in the lead role, has officially finished filming.
Bob Koplar, the film’s producer, shared the update on Voltron’s official Instagram. He confirmed that production is complete and promised fans a true Voltron experience.
“Our live-action Voltron film has officially wrapped production, and we’re THRILLED with how it all went… This WILL be the Voltron experience our fans have been dreaming of.”
While there is no confirmed release date yet, the movie is expected to come out sometime in 2026. Koplar assured fans that they will get the news first through official channels.
Voltron is a story about a giant robot formed by five smaller robotic lions, each controlled by a different hero. Together, they fight to protect the universe from evil alien threats. The original animated show aired in 1984 and ran for two seasons.
This marks a big return for Henry Cavill to action-heavy, heroic roles—this time, trading Superman’s cape for a space-faring mech suit.
Fans are now waiting for the next major update: the release date. Keep an eye on Voltron’s official pages for more news.
