Nicki Minaj Denied Involvement in Fake Tweet Linked to Diddy Trial

A fake tweet has been circulating on social media, falsely claiming that Cassie Ventura said Nicki Minaj told her to stay with Diddy despite alleged abuse. Fans and journalist Matthew Russell Lee quickly debunked this false information.

Lee, who has been covering the Diddy trial extensively from inside the courtroom, clarified that Cassie never mentioned Nicki Minaj in this way during her testimony. The fake tweet, which appeared to come from Lee’s organization Inner City Press, claimed that Minaj told Cassie to “stop complaining” because “girls will die to be in my shoes.”

Lee took to Twitter on May 16 to expose the fake tweet and confirmed that this conversation never happened during the trial. In fact, the only reference to Nicki Minaj in the trial was when a defense lawyer asked Cassie if she was put in the studio with Minaj, to which she said yes.

Meanwhile, the trial continues with Dawn Richard testifying about abuse she witnessed and experienced. Aubrey O’Day, another Danity Kane member, is also expected to testify soon.

This incident highlights the dangers of fake news spreading during high-profile trials and the need for caution when following media reports.
