A U.S. judge has dismissed a court filing by Justin Baldoni that accused actress Blake Lively of trying to pressure Taylor Swift into publicly supporting her. The filing also claimed that Lively threatened to release personal texts if Swift did not comply.
On May 15, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman called the filing “irrelevant” and “improper.” He warned Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, that abusing the court system again could lead to penalties.
The letter said Lively’s lawyers asked Swift to make a public statement endorsing Lively. It also alleged that Lively demanded Swift delete previous messages. Baldoni’s attorney later submitted an affidavit repeating these claims, saying the information came from a source close to Swift.
Lively’s team denied all accusations, calling them false and defamatory. They said the filing was an attempt by Baldoni’s side to spread rumors and manipulate the media.
Taylor Swift was recently subpoenaed in the ongoing lawsuit but her representatives stated she is not connected to the “It Ends with Us” movie involved in the case.
The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is scheduled for trial in March 2026.
