Google has officially announced that Android 16 will be released as a stable update in June 2025, and Xiaomi is wasting no time preparing for the rollout.

The news was confirmed during the Android Show event, where Allen Huang, Product Management Director for Pixel and Android UI, revealed the timeline. Although the exact date wasn’t specified, June 3 is widely expected to be the official launch date, based on recent leaks and analyst predictions.

Xiaomi is already testing Android 16 across more than 30 devices, covering flagship models, foldables, tablets, and regional variants. This aggressive rollout preparation shows Xiaomi’s commitment to delivering timely and stable updates across its global user base.

Which Xiaomi Devices Are Getting Android 16?

The initial testing covers the following:

  • Xiaomi Flagships: Xiaomi 15, 15 Pro, 15 Ultra
  • Foldables: Xiaomi MIX FLIP, MIX FOLD 4
  • Redmi Flagships: Redmi K80, K80 Pro, K60 Ultra
  • POCO Series: POCO F7 Ultra, F7 Pro
  • Redmi Note Series: Redmi Note 14 Pro+
  • T Series: Xiaomi 14T Pro, 13T Pro
  • Tablets: Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro

These models are being tested across various regions, including China, India, Global, EEA, Indonesia, Russia, and Taiwan, ensuring a wide and seamless rollout once Android 16 goes live.

What’s New in Android 16?

Android 16 will bring a host of performance enhancements, new AI-powered features, and tighter integration with Google services.

A highlight is the Material 3 Expressive design language, which will debut first on Pixel devices, although it won’t be part of the initial public rollout in June.

For Xiaomi users eager to know when their phone will be updated, tools like the MemeOS Enhancer app can be downloaded from the Play Store. The app provides early access to new features, OTA update notifications, and insights into Xiaomi’s latest system tools.

With testing already underway and the official Android 16 launch just weeks away, Xiaomi users can expect one of the fastest update rollouts in the company’s history.
