Google has officially launched a native version of its Gemini app for iPad. Until now, iPad users could only run the iPhone version of Gemini in compatibility mode.
The new iPadOS app brings full support for larger screens and advanced features.
Google says the app is designed to offer a “seamless and optimised experience” that takes full advantage of the iPad.
Users can now use Gemini in split view to multitask with other apps. The app also supports widgets and integration with Google Photos.
The new iPad app includes powerful AI tools such as Gemini Live for real-time conversations in over 45 languages, Deep Research for quick reports, and Audio Overview for processing audio files.
Users can also co-create documents in the Canvas feature and generate images and videos directly on their iPad.
Gemini’s Audio Overview tool, which launched in English, is now available in over 45 languages thanks to positive feedback.
The app is available today in all countries where Gemini is supported and can be downloaded from the App Store.
