Apple has launched an updated Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air, bringing new features and a lower price. This new version shares many improvements from the iPad Pro’s Magic Keyboard, making it a more affordable option for users.
The Magic Keyboard for iPad Air now has a larger trackpad, offering better precision for tasks that need detailed control. It also includes a new 14-key function row, which provides quick access to essential features like volume and brightness controls.
The keyboard connects magnetically, and the Smart Connector ensures an easy connection for both power and data without needing Bluetooth. It also includes a USB-C port for charging.
The new Magic Keyboard is priced at $269 for the 11-inch model and $319 for the 13-inch model, making it more affordable than the iPad Pro’s version, which costs $299 and $349, respectively.
While this keyboard has many similarities to the iPad Pro model, there are a few differences. The iPad Air’s version does not have haptic feedback on the trackpad, and it lacks the aluminum palm rest area next to the trackpad. Despite these differences, the keyboards are largely the same, and both are available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes.
This new Magic Keyboard is compatible with several iPad Air models, including the 11-inch and 13-inch versions (M3, M2, 5th and 4th generations). It can be purchased from the Apple Store and will begin shipping on March 12.
