A$AP Rocky is giving fans a glimpse of his upcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb, and he’s not shying away from controversy.
A new snippet of a song featuring Metro Boomin’s production is circulating online, and in it, Rocky makes a bold reference to his recent assault trial. “I wear Armani to court, your honor,” he raps.
“Look like John Gotti in court, your honor.” The lyrics appear to reflect his mindset after being found not guilty earlier this month.
The snippet has sparked mixed reactions from fans. Some praised Metro Boomin’s production, comparing it to his work on Savage Mode. Others questioned if the snippet was real or AI-generated.

Rocky’s Album Delay and Legal Victory
Don’t Be Dumb has been in the works for a long time. Rocky originally announced a release date in August 2024 but later delayed the album indefinitely. While no new date has been confirmed, he has already dropped singles like Highjack, Tailor Swif, and Ruby Rosary.
Rocky’s legal troubles also played a role in the album’s delays. In 2021, A$AP Relli accused him of firing a gun at him during an altercation. After a long trial, a jury ruled in Rocky’s favor, finding him not guilty of any charges.
Speaking after the verdict, Rocky expressed relief. “Thank God first. You gotta thank God first. And I really wanna thank the jury for making the right decision,” he said outside the courtroom. “This whole experience has been crazy for the past four years, but I’m thankful nonetheless. We blessed to be here right now, to be a free man talking to y’all.”
With his legal battles behind him, fans are eager to see if Don’t Be Dumb finally gets a release date. Until then, the latest snippet has given them plenty to talk about.
