Duke Dennis recently got a shoutout from rapper GloRilla, but he isn’t sure how to feel about it.
The YouTuber, known for his charisma and popularity, was name-dropped in GloRilla’s new song ILBB2. In her verse, she made it clear that she wanted to get to know him better. “They say shooters shoot,” she rapped. “Uh, uh-huh/ Duke Dennis, what’s up with you?”
Dennis was happy to be mentioned but was confused by the lyrics leading up to his name. Before calling him out, GloRilla described the type of men she likes, saying, “Like my nas tall and brown (What else?) And mixed with a little bit of ugly.”** This left Duke Dennis wondering if she was talking about him.
“Those two lines are separate, though, right?” he laughed. “You weren’t talking about me…”
Dennis Clears Up His Feelings
Duke Dennis later explained that he believed there was a pause between the descriptions, meaning GloRilla might have been referring to different people. “I think it was like ‘uh-uhs’ in between, you know, two different people,” he said. Despite his confusion, Dennis appreciated the mention and took the situation lightly.
While fans speculated about a possible connection between the two, both GloRilla and Duke Dennis have made it clear they prefer to stay single. Dennis has previously said that he avoids appearing with female content creators to prevent dating rumors.
“I be trying to stay away from interacting with women because people will try to push you with somebody that you don’t even know,” he explained. “I go out of my way to stay out of that light ’cause the internet is quick to ship you.”
For now, it looks like the ILBB2 name-drop won’t turn into anything more. However, it has certainly given fans something to talk about.
