Samsung’s One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, is highly anticipated by Galaxy users. With promises of smoother animations, smarter AI, and a refreshed design, here’s the status for each Galaxy model: S24, S23, S22, and S21.
Galaxy S24 Series: First in Line
The Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra are the top priority for Samsung. These phones have been testing the One UI 7 beta since December 2024.
After four beta updates, the stable version is expected in early March 2025, following the S25 series’ official update in January. For now, S24 users in the beta are already enjoying early features.
Galaxy S23 Series: Coming Soon
The Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra are next in line for One UI 7. Internal testing has started, and while there’s no official beta, the stable update is expected to roll out in late March or early April 2025. Samsung might skip the beta phase for these models and go straight to the stable version.
Galaxy S22 Series: A Bit Further Back
The Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra are confirmed for One UI 7, but the update is expected later, likely in April or May 2025. There’s no beta available, but the S22 series is still performing well with One UI 6.1.
Galaxy S21 Series: Last to Get It
The Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra are the oldest in this list and will receive One UI 7 as their final major update. The stable update is expected in Q2 2025, possibly in April or May. Like the S22, there’s no beta for the S21 series, and it’s unlikely one will be released.
Final Thoughts
One UI 7 debuted with the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025. The S24 series is currently in the beta stage, and stable updates for the S23, S22, and S21 will follow. For the S24, the update is expected soon, while the S23, S22, and S21 will get their updates over the next few months.
