Kendrick Lamar has made history as the first rapper to surpass 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify, joining an exclusive club of only nine artists worldwide to achieve this milestone.

Known for his introspective and complex storytelling, Lamar’s success in the streaming world is particularly remarkable given that his music doesn’t rely on the mainstream, radio-friendly formulas that dominate the charts.

In addition to this record-breaking achievement, Lamar has had an exceptional start to 2025. He won five Grammy Awards for his hit track “Not Like Us,” and just a week later, he performed at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, breaking viewership records.

His album GNX has dominated the charts, with multiple songs from the project landing in the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10, and the album itself reclaiming the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.

With “Not Like Us” continuing to top the charts, Kendrick Lamar is proving that depth, authenticity, and raw talent are still a force in the music industry.

Fans are eagerly anticipating what he will do next, as he continues to redefine the music scene.
