The Blackmagic Camera app has just received a major update with the release of version 2.0, bringing new features to Android users.
Among the biggest additions is multi-camera live recording, a feature that was previously exclusive to iOS.
Multi-Cam Recording on Android
With this update, Android users can now connect up to 9 devices over Wi-Fi or wired networks and control them all from a single device.
The app allows users to adjust settings such as:
- Focus
- Zoom
- Frame rate
- White balance
- Shutter angle
Users can apply these settings to all connected devices at once or customize them individually for each camera.
High Frame Rate Support
The update also adds high frame rate recording, allowing users to shoot at 120fps and 240fps on compatible Sony Xperia smartphones.
This feature enables smoother slow-motion video capture for professional-quality footage.
More Supported Devices
The Blackmagic Camera 2.0 update also expands device compatibility, adding support for several tablets and the newly released Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup.
With these upgrades, Android users now have more powerful video recording tools at their disposal, making Blackmagic Camera 2.0 an even better choice for mobile filmmakers.
