The release date for Elden Ring Nightreign has officially been set for May 30, 2025. This highly anticipated standalone spin-off of the epic Elden Ring universe will be available across PS4, PS5, Xbox consoles, and PC (Steam).
First teased at The Game Awards in 2024, Nightreign is an online co-op game for up to three players, blending fast-paced action with elements reminiscent of Fortnite.
Players will survive a three-day cycle while navigating a randomized map filled with events and danger, all while a blue firestorm closes in on them, leading to a major boss fight.
Boss Battles and Multiplayer
Players will face a series of nighttime boss fights, eventually encountering one of the eight Nightlords. FromSoftware is adding even more depth with bosses from previous Dark Souls games and a poisoned swamp area within the randomized map changes.
Though designed for multiplayer, solo players can enjoy the experience by either playing offline alone (without AI companions) or queuing up to join other players online. The beta test kicks off on February 14, 2025, and runs through February 17, 2025 for those who registered.
Unique Heroes and Skills
The beta test will feature four out of the final eight playable heroes, each with unique skills:
- Wylder (All-rounder)
- The Guardian (Tank)
- The Recluse (Mage)
- The Duchess (Rogue)
