PlayStation gamers can now claim a free remaster of a classic PS1 game through PlayStation Plus. The remastered game, Pac-Man World Re-Pac, is available at no extra cost for subscribers.
Sony announced that Pac-Man World Re-Pac is now part of the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup. The game replaces Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Pac-Man World Re-Pac is a remake of Pac-Man World, a 1999 platformer originally released for the first PlayStation. The game features updated graphics, new level designs, and improved gameplay.
Many players remember the original game from the late 90s and early 2000s. Some even rented it from video stores like Blockbuster. Now, thanks to PlayStation Plus, players can enjoy the upgraded version for free.
Sony has not confirmed if other classic Pac-Man games, like Pac-Man World Rally, will also join PlayStation Plus in the future. However, fans are hopeful that more retro titles will return.
For now, PlayStation Plus subscribers can download Pac-Man World Re-Pac and relive the nostalgia of this classic adventure.
