OpenAI, the company known for creating ChatGPT, has undergone a complete rebranding, marking a new chapter in its rapid expansion.
Founded in 2015, the company has grown from a research lab to a major tech player, with a current valuation of around $340 billion as of early 2025.
The rebrand, which includes a new logo, typeface, and visual identity, is part of the company’s goal to create a more unified and user-friendly image.
OpenAI worked with design experts from ABC Dinamo and Studio Dumbar to develop its fresh look, which features a bespoke typeface called “OpenAI Sans” and a new “blossom” logo.
The design aims to reflect both the company’s technological sophistication and its focus on human creativity.
The rebranding will be rolled out across all OpenAI products, including its popular ChatGPT interface. New features like the “Emotive Point,” a pulsing blue disc representing user interaction, are also part of the update.
This visual change comes as OpenAI continues to push the boundaries of AI technology, with new products like Sora, a generative AI for text, images, and videos.
OpenAI’s rebrand represents a shift from its humble beginnings as a research initiative to a global leader in AI development.
As the company looks to the future, it remains focused on its mission to build artificial general intelligence (AGI) that benefits humanity.
