Apple has raised the cost of AppleCare Plus for iPhones, increasing monthly subscription prices by 50 cents, according to MacRumors.

This price change affects both the standard AppleCare Plus and AppleCare Plus with Theft and Loss plans for Apple’s current iPhone lineup.

For example, AppleCare Plus for the iPhone 16 now costs $10.49 per month, up from $9.99.

Additionally, Apple is removing the option to pay for two years of AppleCare Plus upfront in physical stores or through the AppleCare menu.

Instead, U.S. customers will now have to subscribe to monthly or annual plans.

  • Theft and Loss coverage will now be included by default, leading to higher prices for those who previously opted out of it.
  • The two-year fixed plan is still available online, and customers can still choose AppleCare Plus without Theft and Loss when purchasing online.

This change comes as Apple continues to push its services and subscriptions business, which hit an all-time revenue high in its last financial quarter.
