SM Entertainment has announced the debut of its new eight-member girl group, Hearts2Hearts, scheduled for February 24. This marks SM’s first rookie girl group in five years since the debut of aespa in 2020.

The announcement was made during SM’s 30th-anniversary family concert, “SMTOWN LIVE 2025,” held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. A surprise teaser video unveiled the group’s name and debut date, generating excitement among K-pop fans.

In an official statement, SM Entertainment explained that the name Hearts2Hearts reflects the group’s mission to connect with global fans through heartfelt music and genuine messages. The company expressed confidence in the members’ diverse charms and limitless potential.

This debut also marks a significant moment for SM, as Hearts2Hearts is the first girl group to be launched without the involvement of SM founder Lee Soo-man, who stepped down as executive producer in 2023.

While specific details about the members have yet to be revealed, SM confirmed that promotional activities for Hearts2Hearts will begin later this month. The group aims to carve out a unique musical identity distinct from their SM predecessors, promising fans a fresh and magical experience.

Fans eagerly await more information about Hearts2Hearts as they prepare to make their mark in the K-pop world.
