Lenovo Unveils New Tabs to Compete with iPad

Lenovo has unveiled a new range of tablets at CES 2025, aimed at competing with Apple’s iPad lineup.

The Android-based Yoga Tab Plus, Lenovo Idea Tab Pro, and Lenovo Tab are all priced competitively, making them strong contenders in the tablet market.

Yoga Tab Plus: A Premium iPad Air Competitor

The Yoga Tab Plus stands out as the most impressive tablet in the new lineup. It’s Lenovo’s first tablet powered by on-device AI, thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

The tablet features a large 12.7-inch 3K anti-reflection PureSight Pro display with a brightness of 900 nits in high brightness mode, a 144Hz refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage.

With a 10,200mAh battery that supports fast charging and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, the Yoga Tab Plus offers strong performance. For sound, it includes four Harman Kardon woofers and two tweeters.

Users can also pair it with an ergonomic 2-in-1 keyboard and the Lenovo Tab Pen Pro (sold separately). The Yoga Tab Plus is expected to be available in the U.S. later this month, starting at $700 — $100 less than the 13-inch iPad Air.

Lenovo Idea Tab Pro: Ideal for Learning

The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is designed as the “ideal learning tablet.” It features a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor and a 12.7-inch 3K display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

With a 10,200mAh battery that supports 45-watt fast charging, the tablet ensures quick power-ups. The quad JBL speakers, tuned with Dolby Atmos, enhance the audio experience. It will be available in Luna Gray and Seaform Green, with a starting price of $350 in April.

Lenovo Tab: A Budget-Friendly Option

For those seeking a budget-friendly tablet, the Lenovo Tab offers great value. Powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chip, it features a 10.1-inch display and dual speakers with Dolby Atmos.

This tablet is perfect for entertainment and web browsing. The Lenovo Tab is expected to launch in June, starting at just $159, making it a great choice for first-time tablet buyers or as an extra device for the home.
