At CES 2025, Roborock introduced its latest vacuum, the Saros Z70, featuring a robot arm designed to elevate the standard robovac experience.

This innovation aims to set the Saros Z70 apart from competitors like Roomba by incorporating a five-axis arm that can extend, twist, and remove obstacles or even pick up small laundry items weighing under 300 grams.

The arm unfolds from the top of the vacuum and is equipped with an onboard camera and sensors for navigation.

After completing a standard vacuuming pass, the Saros Z70 returns to interact with objects as needed, making it more versatile than traditional models.

Key Features:

  • Five-Axis Robot Arm: Extends and twists to remove obstacles and pick up small objects.
  • Onboard Camera & Sensors: Helps the arm orient itself in space.
  • Roborock App Integration: Allows users to activate and customize the arm’s settings, including selecting which objects it interacts with.
  • Safety Features: Includes a child-lock and safety stop button for peace of mind.

The Saros Z70 will be available starting February 10, 2025, at a price of $1,600. While the robot arm is a promising feature, questions about its effectiveness and repairability remain to be addressed.
