Apple is planning to release a new entry-level iPad 11 in the spring of 2025. The device will come with iPadOS 18.3 pre-installed.
Reports suggest that the iPad 11 will be launched alongside the iPhone SE 4 and a new iPad Air around the same time.
iPadOS 18.3 is expected to be released in late January or early February, giving Apple enough time to ship the software with new devices in March.
There are few details about new features for the iPad 11, but sources confirm that it will not include Appleโs custom 5G modem.
This modem is expected to appear in the iPhone SE 4 and iPhone 17 Air, offering 5G speeds up to 4Gb/s. However, it will not support the fastest mmWave 5G, instead supporting sub-6GHz 5G.
Bloombergโs Mark Gurman has reported that the iPad 11 will feature a newer A-series chip and at least 8GB of RAM, an upgrade from the A14 Bionic chip in the iPad 10.
Apple is also working on a new Magic Keyboard accessory for the iPad 11 and iPad Air, expected to be released by mid-2025.
Apple has already released the first betas of iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3, but itโs unclear what new features will be included.
Apple is still working on Apple Intelligence features, and we may see updates to Siri with new functions like personal context, on-screen awareness, and improved app performance.
